What’s Grader?

Grader is a road construction machine which it’s commonly referred to as a machine for creating flat surfaces. Grader is designed for steep adjustments, flattening surface and bringing soil to an intended height level. Most models contain 6 wheels which 4 of them are placed at its end while the other 2 are placed in its front. Beneath the machine there’s a blade positioned between front and end wheels’ axis with the ability to rotate, change angle in different sides as well as change height. Its long length, especially between front and end axis, not only enables designers to modify the layout and shovel’s length for increased flat surface, but also its followed with the possibility to hide shovel beneath the machine with it clashing with front and rear axis.

Presence of a blade with high maneuverability in graders provided this machine for clearing out road and streets out of snow during winter. Using grader for clearing road and streets of snow and not paying attention to blade length settings by operator, it could lead to accidently removal of warning flicker lights in both sides of road attached to asphalt. Also if operator isn’t careful and doesn’t pay attention to height level, shovel could damage asphalt. But due to lack of dedicated clearing machines and grader being a more economical alternative, grader is the best machine for clearing out snow of asphalt in our country.

In some graders, in the back of the machine and its rear and in some models, in back of the shovel, there are embedded reapers, which just like Bulldozer, operators can make use of this mechanism. While flattening surface, rocks which are half within ground, obstructs shovel’s performance, they can be pulled out and removed. But we can’t expect Bulldozer’s reapers power from embedded reapers placed on a grader. Some graders are switchable in which machine’s maneuver and performance are better compared to fixed graders.
